Accepting Applications – Wy’east Medicine Pathway for AI/ANs

The Wy’east Medicine Pathway is accepting applications!

Below, we’ve outlined some important information about Wy’east Medicine and the application process.

Wy’east Medicine is an immersive 10-month pathway designed specifically for American Indian and Alaska Native (AIAN) learners who are committed to becoming physicians. The goal of the Pathway is to help prepare its scholars to be successful in medical school and beyond.

  • The Pathway offers an intensive curriculum that includes rigorous coursework in biomedical sciences, population health, and MCAT preparation, in addition to immersive cultural support, mentorship, clinical shadowing experience, and much more.
  • The Pathway is tuition-free. Scholars will also receive a monthly living stipend to help offset living expenses.
  • Upon acceptance to Wy’east Medicine, scholars are conditionally accepted to the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) School of Medicine. Final acceptance is awarded upon (1) satisfactory completion of the Pathway and (2) meeting all final matriculation requirements of the OHSU School of Medicine.
  • The application for the Wy’east Medicine Pathway opens on March 31, 2025. All application materials are due on May 16th.
