In partnership with Seattle’s Jane Isakson Lea Foundation, the Nordic Scholars Leadership Institute (NSLI) is launching a transformative leadership education program in Sweden from September 2–12, 2025. This intensive, immersive experience exposes scholars to Nordic models of sustainability, innovation, and collaborative leadership, providing unparalleled access to high-level mentorship, hands-on workshops, and cross-sector engagement with government, industry, and academic leaders.
Key Features
- Meetings with top Swedish leaders including policymakers, CEOs, and research, development, and innovation (RDI) experts.
- Workshops on leadership, innovation, and scaling sustainability guided by experts in entrepreneurship, personal development, values-based and self-leadership, the Inner Development Goals (IDGs), and indigenous wisdom-based leadership.
- Experiential learning through multi-stakeholder interactions, workshops, and site visits to cutting-edge organizations and sustainable initiatives.
- Futures thinking and global impact training led by entrepreneurs, social change leaders, and academics.
- Post-program evaluation and lifelong alumni engagement, where scholars participate in feedback sessions and join a growing global network of NSLI alumni
A Unique Participatory Learning Opportunity
This program is also a human-centered design initiative, where scholars will actively serve as both users and co-designers of future NSLI programs. This requires deep engagement, iterative problem-solving, and a mindset of continuous feedback and innovation to shape the program’s long-term impact.
NSLI seeks outstanding current and recent undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of disciplines who demonstrate:
- Leadership potential and ambition
- A commitment to sustainability and global impact
- Intellectual curiosity and a collaborative mindset
