- Email: Paste your profile link directly into the body of an email. This is a great way to share your profile with recruiters, potential mentors, or anyone you’d like to connect with professionally.
- Social Media: Post your public profile link on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, or any other platform where you engage with your network. It’s a way to showcase your skills and experience to a broader audience.
- Resume or Portfolio: Include your Handshake profile link on your resume or portfolio. This makes it easy for hiring managers, potential employers, or collaborators to view your profile and learn more about your accomplishments.
- Networking events: Whether you’re attending in-person or virtual events, sharing your profile link can help others learn more about you. For in-person events, can include it on your resume or a business card.

How to Share Your Profile
To share your profile outside of Handshake, go to your Settings in your account and select “Community” and check the box indicating that you want your profile to be public and sharable outside of Handshake. You can change these settings anytime if you want your information to remain private.

Choose How You Want to Share
Custom profile link: Found under the “Share” button on your profile, this link is your key to sharing your professional story on your terms, wherever you want to show up.
Professional email signature: A polished email signature adds a memorable personal touch to every message and connects readers directly to your profile. When you are logged in on a desktop, click on “Share” then “Share Via Email” to create an email signature that features a preview of the most essential info on your profile: your name, school, major, and a link to your profile.

Update Your Profile Before Sharing
Before you share you profile, make sure you have your profile updated with these key features:

- Your ideal industry, job role(s), and target locations to show recruiters what you’re looking for
