If you’re looking for job that is convenient to campus, Handshake has two great features that can help you with your search. To get started, login to your Handshake account at uw.joinhandshake.com using your UWNetID credentials.
On the Handshake Website
Navigate to the Jobs section of Handshake.
Under the UW Collections drop down menu, select On-Campus Student Jobs for jobs located on the UW Seattle campus. To exapand your job search, choose Close to Campus to find jobs just minutes from campus with employers like Seattle Children’s Hospital, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the Woodland Park Zoo.
You can Save jobs for later or Apply immediately in Handshake. You can also Follow the employer to make sure you are stay up to date on new opportunities.
On the Handshake App
Filters and Collections look a little bit different on the Handshake app, but they are still easy to use! To find On Campus Jobs, start by navigating to Jobs, click on Filters (at the bottom of your screen) and then select On Campus Student Employment.
For Close to Campus Jobs, go to go to Profile (your photo in the top left), click Career Center, select Career Center Collections and then choose Close to Campus.
