Apply to be an American Physics Society student ambassador

Be the voice for physics by building an inclusive community at your university.

The American Physics Society is a professional organization whose mission is to advance physics by fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and global community dedicated to science and society.

They are seeking student ambassadors to get more aspiring physicists involved at the early stages of their careers.

At colleges and universities around the world, student ambassadors:

  • Gain leadership experience through exclusive programs and events
  • Advocate for physics at their school
  • Network with physicists to improve their career preparedness
  • Support their community by sharing resources with their peers

Any undergraduate or graduate student with at least a year left in their studies can apply.

The APS Student Ambassadors program is a leadership opportunity for students worldwide dedicated to serving and representing APS at their home institution. Student Ambassadors are able to help their fellow students (and professors) learn more about the activities and progress of the society as a whole, and help facilitate a community of APS student members at your institution.

Learn more on the APS website here.

Eligibility

  • Any undergraduate or graduate student in any country is eligible to become a Student Ambassador.
