The KPWA’s Healthcare Careers Pathway Program is seeking under-represented minority (URM)* undergraduates and/or recent graduates who are interested in healthcare and looking for exposure to the field of medicine.
*Based on historical evidence on representation in health careers, we prioritize the following groups as underrepresented, minoritized groups: American Indian, Alaskan Native, Black, Latinx, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander.
This is a virtual shadowing experience focused on serving URM* pre-health students. For the duration of 5 weeks, a small cohort of students will meet virtually, each session providing the opportunity to hear from healthcare providers.
This program aims to provide students with the space to build meaningful connections with other pre-health students and gain exposure to the medical field. Our main goal is to support the increase, growth, and development of healthcare leaders from historically under-represented and minoritized communities.
