Featured LGBTQ+ RSO: OSTEM

Joining a Registered Student Organization (RSO) is one of the easiest and best ways to prepare for your future career. It’s no secret that job offers very often go to those who know someone, so opportunities to build your network of career-field peers and alumni are not just social, they are also strategic. Check out some info below about this queer-centric RSO for students in STEM fields.

oSTEM stands for Out in Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math. UW’s oSTEM RSO aims to provide support, networking, and educational opportunities for LGBTQ+/Queer students, faculty, and staff in STEM-related fields. They host monthly happy hours at local pubs and breweries, as well as social events like trivia nights and holiday celebrations.

Keep up with their upcoming meetings and events by following their Instagram: oSTEM@University of Washington (@ostemuw) or subscribe to their email list.
