MS in CS or DS for Students with Non-Technical Backgrounds

Northeastern University’s Align program gives people with non-tech backgrounds the skills to break into Tech AND a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science. Tech is for everybody, and Align aims to prove this by increasing the diversity and inclusion of/in the field.

The program is offered at the Boston (flagship), Portland, Seattle, Vancouver, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley campuses, which are well-placed within tech hubs.

Align provides:

  • Paid co-ops and internships
  • Academic, career, and peer support
  • Skill-building workshops and expert seminars
  • Financial support, such as scholarships and aid
  • Full-time (~2.5 years) and part-time options

If you’re interested in learning more, register for a meeting with a student ambassador and/or a weekly drop-in session by visiting their Prospective Students page. Preview Night, classroom visits, and info sessions are also ways to gain insight into whether Align would be a good fit for you. Email Candice Hays, Graduate Admissions Counselor, at c.hays@northeastern.edu for questions about the Seattle campus. For questions about other campuses, email Kimberly McCrimmon or Samol Ork.
