Jackson Walker and PracticePro Launch Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship

PracticePro and Jackson Walker LLP are excited to partner and launch a Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship for underrepresented college students and graduates seeking a legal career.

Scholarship recipients will receive:

  1. Admissions coaching, which includes aid with application strategy, personal statements, legal resume drafting, scholarship negotiation, and character and fitness responses;
  2. Career coaching, which includes an introduction to the legal industry and legal recruiting frameworks, tips for selecting law school extracurriculars, a preview of different practice areas, and preparation for 1L summer legal internship opportunities; and
  3. An LSAT Stipend.

To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be:

  • A junior or senior in college or graduated undergraduate in the last three years, applying for admission to law school Class of 2026 or 2027.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.2.
  • A member of a racial, ethnic, gender, or socioeconomic group which has been historically underrepresented in the legal profession, a member of the LGBTQ community, or those with a disability.

Applications will be accepted until March 22, 2022.

With the creation of the Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship, PracticePro and Jackson Walker aim to cultivate the diverse legal talent pipeline as early as possible by assisting underrepresented college students and graduates get into law school and understand the fundamentals of navigating a legal career.

“The future of our legal profession depends entirely on how well we prepare students and guide them in their pursuit of a legal career,” said Jackson Walker partner Suzan Kedron, who chairs the Firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “We are excited for the opportunity to help launch this Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship, which will support students from underrepresented communities in their efforts to get into the best law schools and receive the necessary tools to become successful lawyers.”
