“Capillaries: The Journal of Medical Humanities” call for submissions

The staff at Capillaries: The Journal of Medical Humanities believe that writing and art have real power now more than ever. They offer their journal to you as a space to decompress and reflect on personal, community, national, and global issues.

Capillaries is a student-run project at the University of Washington. Since February 2018, their mission has been to provide the UW community (students, staff, and faculty) with the opportunity to reflect on experiences with medicine, healing, illness, and/or grief through prose, poetry, and artwork. Furthermore, Capillaries aims to support students and the community in their healthcare journeys and to promote greater understanding between the sciences and the humanities.

For their Winter 2022 issue, feel free to write and create art about any experience or topic you feel comfortable sharing.

~For previous editions of the journal and submission guidelines, see their website: https://www.capillariesjournal.com/
