“An Evening with Neuroscience” call for planning volunteers

Grey Matters is the University of Washington’s undergraduate neuroscience journal, focused on bringing neuroscience to the public in an accessible, interdisciplinary way.

They are excited to announce that applications for the event planning committee for An Evening with Neuroscience 2022 are now open.

An Evening with Neuroscience is their free, annual event to bring neuroscience education to the public in an informal, fun way. Each year, they combine anatomy, art, and technology through fun activities, and bring in an incredible group of neuroscientists and clinicians to share their knowledge with the public.

Engaging in their planning committee is a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in leadership, teamwork, and event planning, while furthering Grey Matters’ educational mission.

They are looking for a diverse group of students passionate about increasing access to science.

Opportunities include video editing, website building, art and design, marketing, conducting interviews and outreach.

Applications can be found here, and are due Sunday, November 14, at 11:59PM.
