TeleHealth Access for Seniors volunteer opportunity

Are you looking for a way to help out during the COVID-19 pandemic while staying socially distanced?

Consider volunteering with TeleHealth Access for Seniors – a student-led 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that donates video-enabled devices to community health clinics and VA hospitals for patients in need to access virtual healthcare!

Since it was founded in March 2020, the nonprofit has provided over 3,300 devices and raised $205,000 for 126 clinics and hospitals in 26 states.

Locally, their Washington team has successfully donated over 220 devices to 3 community health centers in the Greater Seattle Area.

Volunteers work in collaboration with their state team to raise funds, seek device donations, write grants, and other fundraising initiatives. The commitment is 3-4 hours a week.

Check out their website at https://www.telehealthforseniors.org/ for more information.

To get involved, email their National Recruitment Coordinator, Abe, at abe.baker-butler@telehealthforseniors.org.

Any questions can be directed to their Washington State Co-Lead at nnguyenh@uw.edu.
