Husky Athletics Sports Medicine Internship

The Husky Athletics Sports Medicine Internship is intended for students interested in athletic training, medical school, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or other healthcare related fields.

It is an immersive experience where students spend about 10 hours per week down in the athletic village working with their sports teams and athletic trainers, helping them with their day-to-day tasks.

Duties range from hydrating student-athletes, observing treatments and rehabs, to performing prophylactic taping, massage, and other manual therapy techniques on student-athletes directly.

They have also added the BIOL381-BIOL383 series (Intro to Athletic Training) to this internship, so interns will get a 1-3 credit class on top of the experience that dives deeper into topics related to athletic training and sports medicine.

Students can find the application here.

Applications are due April 1st.

They will conduct interviews towards the end of April, and have decisions by the fall registration date in early May so that selected applicants can register for the BIOL381 fall course.
