Below is the event information from New Tech Seattle about the upcoming event hosted at the Intellectual House here at the UW Seattle Campus.
Come out next Wednesday night to experience our monthly Diversity & Women in Tech event co-hosted with Elizabeth Scallon! She’ll be interviewing leaders from Microsoft, Starbucks, Twitter and UW. This is a special event co-hosted with UW and we’ll be in their amazing longhouse-style Intellectual House. Over 150 tickets have already been sold and this will be an event to remember!
You’ll have deeper experiences with monthly opportunities to connect to your peers, mentors and influencers leading the way on building a more inclusive Seattle tech community.
It’s no secret, companies with more diversity, whether it’s racial, ethnic, or gender, perform better than those with less. We’re excited to invite you to learn about the difficulties, successes, and benefits of diversity in the tech industry, and what we can all do to ensure opportunities are available for all of us, and make diversity the standard, not the exception.
RSVP NOW for fun, light appetizers, beer, wine, great new friends and insights into how to grow more inclusive cultures in our tech ecosystem. Join us Wednesday night at New Tech’s Diversity & Women in Tech event at UW to connect with your Seattle tech leaders, innovators, enthusiasts & friends!
