Girls Who Invest has an amazing internship opportunity for sophomore women in ANY major. Women and minorities manage under 10% of mutual funds in North America. Girls Who Invest, a non-profit specifically geared toward placing more women in the pipeline, seeks bright and talented sophomore women from all majors for our 2018 summer intensive program. In the past three years, we have had just under 200 women complete our summer intensive program.
The summer intensive program is a 10-week program consisting of four weeks on campus at the University of Pennsylvania or University of Notre Dame learning core finance and investment concepts from top business school professors, followed by a guaranteed six-week paid internship at a leading asset management firm. The program is tuition free and includes room and board.
We understand that a full summer program may not be feasible for some women. Those who prefer to learn online can apply to our tuition-free, self-directed online program. GWI has partnered with Wharton Online to provide a rigorous Financial Modeling course
Students in our programs have come from all areas of study including: Math, English, Psychology, Languages/Literature, Biology, Political Science, Sociology, History, Chemistry, Philosophy, Anthropology, and Economics.
There is no prerequisite for business/finance classes.
Applications are open now through November 29, 2018 and available at girlswhoinvest.org
