Seniors often wonder if they can do an internship after they graduate. The answer is yes and no. Many companies have policies stating that interns must still be enrolled as a student. They sometimes do this because they want students who do well as interns one summer to return for full time work after graduation the next summer. For this reason, it is ideal to do an internship prior to graduation, and even prior to senior year. But it is never too late to do an internship, and many employers are open to hiring recent graduates as interns. If you’re graduating, consider applying for both internships and jobs; you may already have enough experience and skills to be competitive for career positions!
