Seeking business qualifications without the business degree?

You’ve probably heard that major doesn’t equal your career. It is entirely possible to pursue a career in business or entrepreneurship without a business degree. However, if you choose that path, there are several options to consider that may help you build your business skills through further learning here at the UW. The Foster School of Business offers several options to earn business certificates or minors, no matter what stage in your career or education you are at.

Undergraduate Foster students seeking opportunities in international business through foreign language study, internships and studying abroad may want to consider earning a Certificate of International Studies in Business. For UW undergraduates in any other major, a Professional Sales Certificate helps learn about sales fundamentals and management skills essential for success in this field and an Entrepreneurship Minor is available to help anyone achieve their start-up goals. Graduate students have the option to choose between an Entrepreneurship Certificate (available to all UW graduate students) and a Global Business Certificate (Foster MBA students only).

UW Professional & Continuing Education offers a variety of business-related certificates including business essentialsbusiness administrationaccounting, business development, marketing management, and project management.
