About the Career Center
In helping students to successfully connect their academic accomplishments with a wide variety of employers and to move forward in their roles as well-educated world citizens, the Career Center aims to simultaneously support the goals of each individual as well as the goals of our broader context: employers, the university, the state, our nation, and the extended global community.
For students we provide a full spectrum of services, from self-exploration and decision-making to understanding career options, from knowing how to prepare for the work world to making significant contributions to employers and the community.
For employers we seek to understand their complex needs and facilitate a variety of ways for them to connect with UW students and alums.
For the university community, we maintain a deep respect for the innate value of knowledge while also facilitating practical application of that knowledge through connecting our students and graduates with employers and our community.
In these ways, we hope to simultaneously support the individual dreams and goals of our students and alums and also to serve the university's broader responsibilities and mission.
